Fuse 20 / 2011 BMW 550i

  1. Too many plausible disasters

A cheap, modified 550i arrives in limp mode after heat damage around the hot-V. Oil, melted wiring, charge-pressure hardware, VANOS, cam, and crank codes all look capable of being the real failure.

INPA separates old faults from newly appearing ones. ISTA turns the pile of codes into a search for a shared physical path.

  2. Pinouts become a test plan

DME connector pinouts replace speculation with paths that can be checked one by one.

  3. Just checked BlowOffValve to X60004 pin 19 to the connector, and it is indeed continuous.

The first confirmed path eliminates one branch of the harness.

  4. Okay, so I just applied 12-volt power, and they are actuating diverter valves. I did the blow-off valves too. Those are actuating. So definitely the components are good.

The devices work off-car. Wiring or supply moves to the center of the board.

  5. I believe I’ve chased down our issue to one of these 4 central points

Both MAF banks, both blow-off-valve banks, the crank sensor, and bank-two VANOS converge on a common supply theory. The fuse number in this hypothesis is still wrong.

  7. I feel amazing and it was such a simple fix too like bro we bought the car for $3200 😭😭😭😭😭

Last recorded state in this thread: the shared electrical fault is fixed. The later heat-shield installation has its own follow-up.
